On January 26th, 2017 the new German Chemikalienverbots-Verordnung (‘Verordnung zur Neuregelung Nationaler Vorschriften über das Inverkehrbringen und die Abgabe von Chemikalien1") has been published, and came into force on January 27th, 2017.
This Chemikalienverbots-Verordnung translates important parts of the European REACH and CLP directives into German law. This new text has taken into consideration the information from the industry and industry associations and a practice-oriented solution for coolants/antifreeze liquids. This actually means that the revised text has no effect on the practices in place prior to January 27th, 2017.
