Freecor SPC

Description

Freecor SPC - mixed with the appropriate amount of water - is used as a cooling and heat transferring fluid in combustion engines. The heat of the internal combustion is transferred via the fluid to the radiator where the mixture is cooled by means of air flow. Formulated with powerful and efficient additives, Freecor SPC  is recommended for use in cooling systems of all types of liquid cooled automotive, heavy duty and industrial internal combustion engines.  Freecor SPC is an ethylene glycol based fluid that provides efficient protection against freezing and boiling, but also against corrosion. Exempt from potentially harmful additives such as nitrites, amines and phosphates, the coolant also contributes to a safer environment.

Freecor SPC is designed especially to meet the requirements of engine manufacturers that require hybrid coolants to protect modern Aluminum engines.

Benefits

Freecor SPC offers the following benefits to the user :

-Efficient and long lasting corrosion protection combination of silicate and carboxylate inhibitor technology
-Excellent silicate stability high-performing silicate stabiliser
-Maintenance free protection against freezing and boiling ethylene glycol based fluid
-Excellent seal compatibility   no adverse effects on rubber hoses and gasket materials

Application

Freecor SPC provides year-round freezing and corrosion protection. To ensure good corrosion protection it is recommended to use at least 33 vol. % of Freecor SPC  in the coolant solution. This provides freezing protection to -20°C. Typical mixtures in Northern Europe are 50/50 Freecor SPC / water, offering freezing protection down to   -40°C.  Mixtures with more than 70 vol. % of Freecor SPC  in water are not recommended.

The maximum freezing protection (about -69°C) is obtained at 68 vol. % Freecor SPC. The use of soft water is preferred for dilution. Freecor SPC may be used with confidence in engines manufactured from cast iron, aluminium or combinations of the two metals, and in cooling systems made of aluminium or copper alloys. Exclusive use of Freecor SPC is recommended for optimal corrosion protection and sludge control. This coolant is compatible with European hard tap waters. It satisfies the most stringent requirements for hard water stability.
