Information leaflets Products & Applications Arteco supplies various products which can serve in multiple applications. The brief description of the various applications is intended to help you with your search for the right product. All information published on this website is in English language. For many documents published here we have translations available. You may request a copy in French or German via the contact us-button. Some of our products are supplied as ready-to-use products or the opposite namely in a superconcentrated form. Please contact our salesforce for more details about these. If you do not find what you are looking for, don’t hesitate to contact us directly. The heat of internal combustion engines is transferred via the cooling fluid to the radiator where the mixture is cooled by means of airflow. The coolant provides protection against freezing and boiling but also against corrosion. The various vehicle manufacturers all have their specific requirements that allow maximum corrosion protection and full compatibility with the components that are used in the cooling system. To meet those needs, Arteco offers various product-types. The differences are related to the base-fluid used and the inhibitor-technology used. Extended coolant life, often for the whole life of the engine or vehicle, is obtained through the use of virtually non-depleting corrosion inhibitors. We refer to this group of products as silicate-free coolants. On the page Approvals you will find up-to-date information on which vehicle manufacturer has approved which product. More detailed information on the various products you can find via the links below. Many of our products are also available as superconcentrates. Contact us for more information.
Heat Transfer Fluids Industry-wide there are many processes that require cooling and heating and consequently a fluid that transports the heat or cold from one place to another place in the process or installation. In general we refer to these fluids as heat transfer fluids. Depending on the application and local legislation, different base fluids are used. To be able to offer a complete product range, Arteco has signed an agreement with Kemira Chemicals to distribute their well-known FREEZIUM product. Below you find a short list of possible applications and the recommended fluid 1) Secondary refrigerants: with the replacement of CFC’s, a growing trend to use indirect cooling systems creates the need for long-life secondary refrigerants. Typical applications are breweries, dairies, food warehousing and supermarkets, … As secondary refrigerants Arteco offers:
2) Cooling systems that work above the freezing temperature of water, can use the environmentally friendly ZITREC AC. 3) Special applications like ice rinks, cross country ski slopes, ground freezing or sprinklers can use :
4) Solar panels: we recommend the use of ZITREC MC or ZITREC AC 5) Hot water heating installations and air conditioning, heat pumps and heat recovery systems: we recommend using the following products:
For our heat transfer fluids, we have set up a network of local distributors. Check out our distributor network on www.zitrec.com/Distribution Engine plants around the world continue to use performance tests to guarantee fit for use to the assembly plants. Most of these engine tests include a full combustion cycle which lasts from a few minutes for automotive engines up until several days for large stationary or marine diesel engines. During these tests a coolant is required that cools the hot engine parts and protects the interior of the engine block. The so-called hot test fluid is drained after the test-run. However, a small quantity remains in the engine block. During transport from the engine plant to the assembly plant of final location, the interior of the engine should be protected against corrosion. We recommend following products:
