Reduced conductivity
In today's applications, a liquid coolant is used in so called 'indirect cooling' systems. In these applications, the coolant does not come into direct contact with the electric components of the propulsion system - hence the risks associated with potential short circuits is low.
This is why many of the classic coolants may be used. However, in some cases the manufacturer specially specifies the use of reduced electric conductive coolants. Please follow the OEM instructions.
Our OAT low conductive coolants are specially designed to use in battery and hybrid vehicles where electrical conductivity is considered as an important parameter.
