End of line
an End of Line is used to cool the engine before it is drained and stored or shipped to the assembly plant.
Ensuring engine integrity
Newly manufactured engines undergo brief testing before being assembled into vehicles. During these tests, an End of Line is used to cool the engine before it is drained and stored or shipped to the assembly plant.
A small amount of fluid remains in the engine block, posing a risk of corrosion during temporary storage or transport to the vehicle assembly site. However, a well-formulated End of line, with corrosion inhibitors active in both the liquid and vapor phases, can mitigate this risk, protecting the engine block until installation and first coolant fill, while ensuring full compatibility.
We have extensive expertise in this area and can recommend the right hot test fluids that provide protection in both liquid and vapor phases.
