A nitrite containing organic additive technology (OAT) coolant that contains organic corrosion inhibitors such as carboxylates and triazole and mineral inhibitors.
The carboxylate inhibitors used in OAT coolants have very low depletion rates. A monomolecular layer of inhibitors is formed on the metal surface only at the anodic sites where corrosion risks to start. To enhance the protection against cavitation in sever operated wet liner applications, nitrite or the combination of nitrite and molybdate is added to the already excellent performing OAT.
