When selecting a coolant, different types of product claims indicate different levels of validation and intent. These distinctions help clarify how a coolant has been assessed in relation to OEM specifications.
At Arteco, our innovative solutions are developed in close collaboration with OEMs, ensuring that the products not only meet but exceed customer expectations. To ensure transparency, Arteco categorises coolant claims into three clear levels: OEM Approved, Meet Requirements, and Recommended for. Each level reflects a different type of evaluation, ranging from formal OEM certification to technical alignment and application-based recommendation.
These definitions are based on clearly structured criteria, helping to ensure that our positioning is consistent and traceable. As terminology is not always used in a fully standardised way across the industry, careful interpretation of claims remains important when selecting a coolant.

The three types of coolant claims explained
OEM Approved
An OEM-approved coolant refers to a coolant that has been rigorously tested and certified by an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to meet all their specific requirements. It means our product has positively gone through the validation process and the OEM allows the product to be used for first fill and/or private label.
Meet Requirements
A "meet requirements" coolant is engineered & evaluated to align with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications without the formal endorsement or complete customer validation that comes with an approval.
Recommended for
Coolants labeled as "recommended for" (or also known as “suitable for use”) are suggested based on Arteco assessment following the review of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specification, field experience & its technical characteristics.
